3 Firms Bid for Pakistan Telecom
Three foreign firms have joined Saturday's bidding for a 26 percent stake in Pakistan's state-run telephone company, a sale that has triggered an employee protest, a senior Cabinet minister said.
The government is allowing firms from the United Arab Emirates, China and Singapore to take part in the bidding, said Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.
